Erin Roundsky

I love the feeling of clay moving through my hands while I’m throwing, and being able to manipulate it into something that has a function. I want my work to be useful and used by whoever owns it. There is a connection made between a person and an object when it is involved in someones everyday life. As a maker, I have the opportunity to make something that has meaning to others in a way that I will never truly know.  Objects have the ability or power to create associations through the feelings, memories, and experiences we have with them, and it is so special to be apart of that. My work seeks to reveal and explore the relationships between human and object.
